The AMP One Size Duo Pocket Diaper (patent pending) is a revolutionary new diaper that combines both the benefits of the AI2 diaper and the pocket diaper all in a one size. The intelligent snap placement allows this diaper to have three different rise options and multiple tummy and thigh settings for a custom fit from birth to potty training (7-38lbs).
*Please note that inserts must be purchased separately*
The outer waterproof layer is a soft durable laminated PUL and the inside is a dreamy soft layer of micro fleece that is designed to wick wetness away and keep baby dry and comfortable. The envelope opening is large enough for easy stuffing and is placed at the front of the diaper to make removing the insert easy and mess free.To use: snap the rise adjusting snaps to the appropriate setting and place insert inside the diaper. Then place the diaper under baby and fasten the tummy and thigh snaps at a snug but comfortable position.
To use this diaper as an All in two diaper, place the insert on top of the fleece making sure that the absorbent insert is between the elastic gathers instead of placing the insert inside of the envelope opening. If the diaper is still dry replace the absorbent insert with a dry one and re-use the diaper.
We did quite a bit of research before deciding on going with AMP cloth diapers. We had ordered a few different brands and have found the AMP OS Duo to be the best quality for the purchase price. The elastics seem to hold up very well, at least so far, and we have had no issues with leaks to this point. I highly suggest skipping cheaper varieties and going ahead with these cloth diapers from the get-go.
I purchased 2 of these diapers as well as Thirsties and Rumparooz one size pocket diapers to compare the three. While they had a lot of similarities, these ended up being the winner for the following reasons:- Made in Canada- Ability to use as an all in 2 diaper as well as a pocket diaper- especially useful for elimination communication and baby bums that prefer natural fabrics against their skin- While the inserts need to be purchased separately, the diaper plus insert are still more affordable than some other brands and you get a natural fiber insert - The elastics are so stretchy and diapers are easy to use- Still bulky, but easy to get a good fit
I tried a few of these, leg gussets seemed comfortable but I found that the inserts I used (AMP, bumkins prefolds or thirsties bamboo) didnt stay put, causing leaks. Ultimately ended up not using them.
We've been using these diapers now for over 6 months. They fit our guy's chunky legs perfectly. After being discouraged from cloth diapering from another brand cutting off circulation around the legs, these were amazing. They are not too tight, fit the legs great, and I love the back and belly elastics that keep everything in. We mostly lay our inserts on top so if only the insert is wet, we can reuse the pocket. Very easy to adjust to grow. Love the prints and the ruffles! It being an entirely Canadian company is a HUGE plus.
I just love the AMP diaper system! I'm currently using cloth for my fourth child and was just recently introduced to AMP. The duo diapers are fast, easy to use, and wash well. The elastic is nice and soft for a cozy but not too tight fit. I have used fitted diapers but love the ease of just one set of snaps. With a diaper sprayer the poo rinses off well and the 2 layer hemp inserts are great for daytime use. (3 layer is more absorbent for nighttime use, though bulkier) These diapers fit my chunky 9 month old and slim 2 1/2 year old well. The price is also very economical if you use the duo cover with the hemp inserts add a, diaper sprayer, wet bag and some wipes and you'll be set.
I am really happy with our AMP OS diaper. I hope to get more eventually. The fit is good and the print is adorable. It's one I reach for first after laundry day. My only complaint if I am being picky is I don't LOVE the opening for the insert - but it's easy to work with :)
Okay, I never cloth diapered with my first son... but started with my second. I didnt know a single thing about cloth diapering, but my sister did. She chose these with her daughter 5 years ago and again with her son this year. I took the dive and bought 12 of these bad boys, along with bamboo inserts. Worth. Every. Penny! My little guy's been wearing these for about 3 weeks now and just hit 12 lbs. They fit very well and I love the frill gussets, making it extremely hard to have any kind of leg leak.i have a kawaii and lil helpers pocket diaper and they dont even come close to comparing. My only complaint is that they need more new prints and new solid neutral, fall colours!!
Love these diapers. I have had one in rotation for 1 year and it is great, so I have now ordered 5 more to make it through to potty training. Has held up really well through countless washing and doesn't leak. The one size is handy, as it has fit for a long time.
a must have I love how lush the lining is, easy to use, cleans up nicely. allows you to use it as a pocket or a hybrid.
These diapers are great! I love the bright solid colours and the quality of the soft fleece inside the diapers. I use the 3 layer hemp inserts for my 10 month old and they are great. My only issue with these is that due to the ruffled edges I do find they wick moisture onto baby's clothes near the tummy area when they are really wet, which none of my other cloth diapers have done. But I just fold over the ruffle near the tummy and then they don't leak. Overall, they are great diapers.
