Geffen Baby Super Absorbers are made with 5 layers of our super absorbent 60% Hemp/40% Organic Cotton fleece. The super soft fleece absorbs and quickly wicks moisture away from your baby's skin keeping it dry and rash free. The higher hemp content maximizes absorbency for nighttime or when you need extra absorbency. Our inserts are made to be compatible with all brands of cloth diapers . Fleece feels extra soft against your baby's delicate skin.

So at first I LOVED these inserts. I bought them based on the numerous five star reviews. They're very trim and absorbent, and don't "bacon" as much as my thirsties ones do. After a couple of months they started pilling, ok no big deal. Now that I've been using them for 10 months they're starting to disintegrate!! I think they are pilling between the layers, and its creating clumps at the ends of the inserts. This wasn't a big deal to begin with, but now because of the lumpy parts its wearing holes through the layers. I have the quick absorbers and they're not doing this. So it must be something with the fleece fabric on these, versus the jersey fabric on the quick absorbers. And they're not getting heavy use, I have probably 70 hemp inserts in rotation. They still absorb fine, but it's just frustrating that they're not holding up better considering how pricy they are.
These are big. I feel like now that my son is over a year I have put them to use more. I'm not sure if this a normal thing to do in the cloth diapering world, but I've recently started using all 3 of these in a cover for nighttime for my 1 year old. And there's still about an 1/8th dry after a 12 hour sleep! When wearing disposables, they are quite soggy in the mornings. His fitteds got handed down to his sister, so this might be our new go to for night time :D
These inserts are fairly large, but I like to fold them in half and use them under a microfiber insert and they last for HOURS! it's wonderful.
Our little guy (7mo) is a super heavy wetter, and we had almost given up on cloth diapering at night since we were having to change him every 2 hrs. These made a huge difference!! We use them inside Mother-Ease Sandys fitted bamboo diapers and now it takes closer to 7 or 8 hrs to fill a diaper. Yay!! They are INCREDIBLY soft when you first get them, and if you hang them to dry, I imagine they will stay that way (I hung them for the first few uses and they stayed super soft). However, hanging to dry takes forever and I am impatient, so we throw ours in the dryer on low. When you get them, you will think they are made for giants. But dont worry! They shrink down. Still not quite short enough for our 7mo, so we just fold the front end over a couple inches and it gives him extra absorbency where he needs it. Because we throw ours in the dryer, they are not as soft and fluffy as they could be - but definitely not scratchy or anything. They work great. We have some of these and some of the super ones.
I bought these to use with our fitted diapers for overnight with my heavy wetting son. They are amazingly absorbent and super trim. I also loved using them for daytime for him once he was a toddler (I used them in a cover). They have also recently been used for him for overnight while potty training to catch any accidents. They have been a versatile insert for us, serving many purposes and being the answer to our needs.
I use Rumparooz diapers & the inserts (MF & Bamboo, didn't try use hemp)theya a little to "fluffy" for my liking. For days I use either the long Bamboo & the little MF insert or I use the long MF & the little bamboo insert. For nights I use the long Bamboo, little MF, little bamboo in that order. My daughter is 4 months old. Was looking for more absorption & less fluff so I switched to these & am sooo happy they're so soft & after only the 3 pre washes they last just as long as my old routine. I still use the little MF insert over top of this one but hope to switch to a trimmer one in the future! They last use 5 hours & overnight I use 2 with the little MF insert and they last 10-14 & are much less bulky! So happy!
I use them with my Sandys for overnight diapers for my son and they were a lifesaver! Ordered one set and then two more as totally totally worked wonderfully!! They soak all that pee so well Yes drying time is long but have them on a reasonable rotation so am happy
I'm going to get more. These are a great, soft, natural liner that I use in my everyday pocket diapers. They are absorbent enough that they fly solo in my 1yr old daughter's daytime diapers, but they aren't three inches think! They take time to dry. I will get more as I need to replace some of my other older liners.
This is my favourite insert, I got the plus size anticipating shrink, after multiple hot washes and tumble dries it is similar to my regular sized inserts but highly absorbant, very soft, great to use at night, great to use with stay dry liners and boosters because they are so absorbant that the stay dry material can work really well. I use mine with the best bottom stay dry/microfleece inserts usually because the sizes are similar. I will be buying more.
I purchased these inserts on the strength of their reviews and, after prepping, these are some of the first I reach for. While a little wide, they are super absorbent. I use them as an insert (with a stay dry microfleece liner) alone in a shell, and they are perfect for daytime and naptime use for my 4mo. After 2-3 hours of use, they are still not soaked through. I can see using these on their own for several more months, before having to couple them with another insert or booster. I will continue to purchase these.
