The GroVia® Hybrid/AI2 is a modern, one-size diapering system. Its unique, waterproof Shell and cloth Soaker Pad minimize waste and cost. When the Soaker Pad is wet, simply replace it with a fresh, dry one!
The Hybrid/AI2 system is designed so that the outer Shell may be used for multiple diaper changes. If the Soaker Pad is wet, simply snap in a fresh one and you are ready to go. If the Shell is wet, allow it to air dry and use for the next diaper change. When your GroVia® Shell is soiled or very saturated, start fresh with a new GroVia® Shell.
Most GroVia® Hybrid/AI2 system users will find that using 2-4 GroVia® Shells are enough per day, although newborn babies may need more.
GroVia will fit MOST babies from 8-35 lbs. The GroVia Shell features three sets of rise snaps that adjust to fit your baby. Our unique one-size Organic Soaker Pad fits from 8-35 lbs as well.
First and foremost it is important to wash and dry your Soaker Pads at least 3-5 times prior to use. They will not be fully absorbent for up to 10 washes.
You will find that your laundry loads will be a third of the size of your regular laundry loads!
This may seem obvious, but whiteners, bleach, vinegar, enzyme cleaners and fabric softeners are not your diaper s friend and will void all warranties.
Refrain from using petroleum based diaper balms as these coat your Soaker Pads, affecting their ability to absorb liquid. A good alternative is the GroVia® Magic Stick.
Buttons design just work perfectly. I got the shell only, it drys fast. I use shell with flats, hemp and bamboo inserts or boosters, trim and snug. The fabric has just the perfect stretch too.
I have been on the hunt to find the best fitting cloth diapers for my 3 month old, 16 pound babe who has thick thighs. I purchased one of each Hybrid shell (the hook and loop and snap) to try out. Overall, Iprefer the fit of the hook and loop as it accommodates larger legs well; however, I have been told by many peoplethat snaps hold up better over time. As my LO grows maybe I'll prefer the snaps so I plan to buy more of each in the future. I prefer natural fibres as my son is a heavy wetter with sensitiveskin, so I bought the cotton inserts. Love the waterproof backing so I can use the shell more than once! I also really love that I can use prefolds and liner inserts I already own. I find the width and length of off-brand inserts doesn't matter with these shells as much as it does with pocket diapers. Hooray for saving money and less loads of laundry! So far there have been no major leaks with the Grovia insert or my own cotton prefolds (only a few small drops of pee have escaped out the leg hole). They also don't leave big red indent marks on my son's thick thighs. I use bamboo disposable sheets to catch the solids so I'm hoping this helps with the longevity of the Grovia inserts. I am really pleased with these shells and will definitely be ordering more.
We loved these diapers with my first kid and used them almost exclusively once she was big enough for them! They fit her perfectly and were really durable and leak proof. My one complaint is that they don't really fit a newborn, especially with the cotton inserts. They are too stiff and make it really hard to get a good fit on the legs. Once my daughter was 3 months and her thighs were big enough they were wonderful!
I really like the concept of the hybrid system. However, we keep getting leak and fit issues and can't seem to figure them out, and so Grovia unfortunately hasn't worked out for us. I do, however, love the snaps! They are so 'snappy'! I wish BG snaps were like that.
This is definitely the trimmest diaper cover I have tried yet and it has never leaked! I also use them with prefolds and it works amazing!
We have a little guy with skinny legs, these diapers do not adjust small enough for around his legs. They are okay for leaks provided we add extra liners. Disappointed with the wash of these shells, unlike other brands we have tried, these shells require a conventional spot cleaner after the initial prewash to get squeaky clean.
This diaper fits my girl well. I love that the inserts are snap in and out, making it easy for changes. They are trim, yet absorbent! They only have one row of snaps, which sometimes makes it harder to get a good fit, but havent had an issue with getting this one to fit. Very happy to have some of these in my stash.
This is a great cover, and would make a great swim diaper. I preferred the snaps to the hook&loop. But must say it is not easy to wipe the inner mesh clean and reuse if leaks happen as compared to the smooth TPU of the rumparooz cover for example.
I feel like if I had purchased these right from the get go I would have saved alot of money that has been spent on other brands that just can't match up to these, also would have probably continued cloth diapering without the few month break in sposies we had. This hybrid system is the boss. Snaps feel like they will outlive me, H&L is a bit more work / I bought some used and doesn't seem they will hold up as long.. they kinda curl?
Really love the TPU high quality material, the cut and the mesh inside. Going to buy more
