Thirsties new One-Size Pocket Diaper is ultra-absorbent, a cinch to use, and designed to provide a great fit for most babies from 8 to 40 lbs. Pairing our adjustable rise with our signature leg gussets ensures messes will be contained whether your baby is tall, short, slim or chunky. The included inserts provide eight thirsty layers of absorbency, making this a dependable diaper for both day and nighttime use. Plus, there is no need to remove soiled inserts before washing, toss the Thirsties One-Size Pocket Diaper in the washing machine and the insert will agitate free during the wash cycle. So many amazing features and made in the USA…how simply awesome is that?!
Our handy pocket design features openings on both sides of the diaper between the stay-dry microfleece and waterproof layers. These openings allow for easy insert stuffing from either side of the diaper and make for easy cleaning. The included inserts feature three layers of serged microfiber snapped together with five serged layers of hemp jersey; eight layers in all! When using both inserts with a newborn simply fold down the hemp insert and snap together with the microfiber insert. Microfiber is a fast absorber designed to rest closest to your baby's skin (beneath the microfleece sleeve); hemp is a stable absorber and pairs perfectly behind the microfiber to add more absorbency and prevent compression leaking.
I was going to rate 4 stars because if Im not totally diligent about changing every 2 hours (even sooner after a big bottle and in the young baby days when all they do is drink) then I do get some leaks around the legs of babys onesies. BUT as long as I stay on top of changing which I should anyway, then these are a very good quality diaper. Its worth paying a bit more. I loveeeee just throwing them in the wash and the inserts come out for me. I dont touch my dirty diapers at all until they are clean- just empty the wet bag inside out and start the load. They do get a little pilly/linty in the liner part so if that would bother you then just a heads up!
I read a lot of reviews raving about this diaper and got some to try. Its a trim fit and is pretty absorbent, but honestly it's the last diaper I reach for. I haven't had any leaks with it, but it's always a little awkward to fit
These diapers are great. I purchased them along with Rumparooz and AMP diapers to compare. These diapers seem like they would definitely fit until potty training. They are great at containing leaks and I like how they fit more trim between the legs. I also like that the inserts agitate out in the wash. I also like that the prints don't cost extra. In addition, you get an extra natural fiber insert with the diaper and the polyester insert. I'm not sure if these would fit on a newborn as they seem to run a little on the larger side, and given the price difference between these and AMP, I'm going for AMP. But great diaper nonetheless, and definitely my second choice.
Very cute prints! I love that it comes with two inserts one being hemp. Soft inside and tunnel pocket a bit difficult to stuff but nothing I cant get used to. Going to order more. Love this diaper and it fits decently on my one month old daughter. This is a sturdy diaper. I am waiting for restock to order more. I love lagoon baby Im on the site pretty much all day window shopping lol
This pocket diaper and the Thirsties Natural AIO are my two favourite diapers. I like the tunnel design of the pocket, the inserts come out in the wash every time and there arent any annoying flaps. One smooth surface to spray. The pocket lining is stay-dry fleece so I like using these for naps since I think it helps keep my baby comfortable. There is one smaller microfiber insert and one larger hemp/cotton insert. The fit is pretty trim. While I love the hemp insert Im not a fan of the microfiber. I usually use a small Thirsties cotton doubler or small Thirsties hemp insert instead. Theyre thinner and a little more absorbent than the microfiber. I usually also fold the large pocket hemp insert in half for extra absorbency at the front for my boy, and its easy to add extra inserts if needed. The double gussets are great at containing the worst messes. I do somewhat prefer the overall fit of the Natural AIO though. Thirsties does also make a Natural Pocket. The Natural has a cotton insert instead of the microfiber and has cotton lining instead of fleece so it isnt stay dry. Because I want the stay dry Ive been buying the original pockets plus cotton doublers. I love almost all of the Thirsties prints and the quality is great. Pretty sure these will last for a second baby.
My favourite feature of this diaper is that I don't have to remove the insert before washing it. My least favourite feature is the rise sizing. We find we have to pull this diaper up higher around the waist than with other diaper brands in order for the rise to work effectively around baby's thighs. We prefer using a diaper that controls the rise/thigh sizing with elastic, but otherwise, it's a really good diaper. We used this brand at night for the first 3 months without any leaks due to absorbancy.
I love thirsties pocket diapers, theyre trim and because of the double gusset fit my skinny legged baby great! Plus, the cute prints are a bonus.
This is my favourite cloth diaper so far. I have been testing out a variety of brands and styles and this one seems to fit the best. The leg gussets help to keep everything secure and the hemp insert does a great job of soaking everything up!
I really like Thirsties. I like their covers, pockets and even aio's. I like that these are stay dry inside. The included hemp insert is great - super trim. I'm indifferent to the microfiber and prefer other inserts in my rotation but Thirsties hemp is among the best in absorbency without adding bulk. They fit my chunky-thighed 7month old quite well, and I'm confident they would fit well when she is more mobile and slims down some. Would purchase again and recommend.
By far our favourite pocket diaper. We've tried a few other brands and Thirsties has them all beat. Only negative is the microfibre insert that comes with this diaper, would prefer if both inserts were natural fibre. Other then that this pocket has it all... double gussets, easy stuffing, great prints, fits from little babies to toddlers!!
